Norwich City had a trail by fire experience back in the Premier League under manager Daniel Farke as they went up against Champions League holders Liverpool at Anfield. It all looked good, for Norwich at the start of the game, they were attacking and causing Liverpool a couple of problems, until Grant Hanley scooped the ball into his own net from a cross ball, to score the first goal of the game.
Once that incident occurred, then all hell broke loose and the avalanche of goals for Liverpool started. Mo Salah, Divock Origi and Virgil van Dijk would all score in the avalanche, making it 4-0 at half-time. A “nice” welcome back to the Premier League for Norwich City.
Assist points came in from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Divock Origi, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino. A nice way for Fantasy Premier League or FPL managers to start the weekend. I myself, once I got into the FPL website, found out that thanks to captaining Salah and having Robertson and Alexander-Arnold in my side, I’ve started the weekend with 31 points.
It wasn’t all boom and gloom for FPL managers in regards to Norwich City anyway. We seen that Finnish international, Teemu Pukki score his first Premier League goal on his Premier League debut. It will be interesting to see, can Pukki keep this up throughout the first 5-6 weeks of the season. If he can keep this up, then I can see his owner numbers going upwards.
He could become a great alternative to the likes of: Diego Jota or Joshua King. At 6.5, Teemu Pukki could become a great and easy way into Norwich City, if you are looking to save some cash.
