If you are a casual like myself, then you won’t be much of a fan of stats and for this I don’t blame you, stick to your guns and stay away from the stats articles.

This is how I manage my side throughout the course of the season and use these methods to try to gain the best rank possible.

The way I manage my side is: I for one thing try to take in as much information as possible before the deadline each week. I usually listen to podcasts and read a couple of blog posts from some of the established and sometimes a little less established FPL blogs in the FPLverse.

The podcasts I listen to include: FPL Surgery, Always Cheating, WGTA FPL etc. While of course other than my own blog, which you can read here: I usually will read the likes of: Fantasy Football Scout, FPL Hints, FPL Pundits etc.

Another tip, I would like to extend with casual FPL managers is this: manage your squad of course, but don’t do it on a daily basis. My advice to all of you “Casuals” would be, to read the blogs, listen to the podcasts and coming to the end of the week, start looking at your Fantasy Premier League side.

This way, you will be able to for one, enjoy Fantasy while watching the Premier League. I would also ask you to get involved in the Twitter Community, it is a great little Community of FPL managers who have a lot of noteworthy thoughts on FPL.

So, there you go, in conclusion we would recommend that you:

  1. Listen to podcasts and read blogs.
  2. Casually manage your FPL side, don’t over manage.
  3. Get involved in the Twitter Community
