At the defence and goalkeeper prospects, if you can, use two 4.5 priced goalkeepers and rotate them throughout the season. In defence, like we have mentioned in previous articles, if you would like to view the articles on Tottenham and Bournemouth for example, you will find a multitude of options who are priced at 5.5 and lower, that will allow you to upgrade elsewhere.
For this article, we are going to classify, cheap as 9.0 and under. This should hopefully, allow you enough money to upgrade your team elsewhere and have a great start to the season. Just looking through some of the players, there are some great bargains here.
Let’s start with some of the higher priced of the bargains looking to Everton and Manchester United, with Gylfi Sigurdsson and Paul Pogba. Pogba is the higher priced of the two coming in at 8.5, while Sigurdsson is priced at 8.0. Paul Pogba is being surrounded by a great deal of transfer speculation, with Real Madrid and Juventus being touted as potential suitors for the Frenchman. So, perhaps, it would be an idea to stay away from Paul Pogba until his situation is sorted out.
I would pick Sigurdsson if you are looking as an alternative to Paul Pogba. Everton will be one of the clubs including Wolves, who are looking to break into the top six this season and Sigurdsson could be key to their success.
Other than the two players mentioned above, there are a bag full of options priced under 9.0 and below that could be great for your FPL side. Two players that jump off of the page straightaway come from Bournemouth and Crystal Palace. Both a being touted with moves away from their respective clubs to Arsenal. Both Wilfried Zaha and Ryan Fraser come into that bracket. Fraser is priced at 7.5 and Zaha 0.5 less at 7.0.
Another player who is making a name for himself with the Brazil national team with Neymar. Richarlison of Everton, much like Gylfi Sigurdsson, if Everton are going to make an attempt to break into the top six this season, then Richarlison will have to step up to the mark and make a name for himself this season and with us Fantasy managers.
We will finish this article by lumping three players in together with each other. Bernardo Silva, Lucas Moura and Anthony Martial of Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United. If these three players are to “come good” this season for their respective teams. Silva and Moura, especially Moura had a great end to last season, so it will be interesting to watch on during preseason how their respective managers use these two players.
Anthony Martial could also be a great asset for us Fantasy managers, especially if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets his way and sells Romelu Lukaku. If Lukaku does leave Manchester United, then both Martial and Rashford could benefit. Martial and Rashford could dovetail together for United and create great days for Manchester United and FPL managers alike.
