Let’s start off with my overall ranking. I’ve seen on Twitter over the course of the season where people have talked about themselves being in a high and favourable ranking. Not me, I finished OR: 2,682,755 and overall points: 1,935. As you can see, I certainly need to do better from next season onwards.

Last season and throughout my time playing FPL since 2006/07, I have usually played to game at a casual level. I’m not a one to look into the game in great detail, I’m not a big maths or stats kind of guy, I prefer to listen to podcasts on FPL: Hail Cheatersand FPL Surgeryto name two.

Perhaps, I need to at least start to read some blogs more if I don’t like maths and stats. I hope that this site will aid both myself and other Fantasy managers with gaining ground on the more stats based managers and gain back some of the ground that I have missed out on.

I missed out on big points returns when I did not have Liverpool and Manchester City coverage at the points of the season where the likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Sergio Aguero amongst others hit form and went on a scoring spree, I can certainly tell you, that will not be happening again.

For the 2019/20 season, I pledge to study the form and not just the fixtures. From the start of the season, I can safely say that Liverpool and Manchester City will make up the bulk of my FPL side from GW1. There may be a sprinkling of Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, but Manchester City and Liverpool, depending on signing will be making up the majority of my squad.
